me hulaYou really don't need to know that much about me right?

That's what I thought. Here is a picture anyway- What? You think my head is too big for my body? That's not a nice thing to say.

While you're here, I should tell you a bit about my beads. I make them by hand, with a Carlisle Mini CC torch.

I only make what I like & am always pleased when you like it too!

All my beads are annealed in a kiln to make them strong like superman. (Well, maybe not that strong, but strong.)

I had a solo show at my local Art Gallery a while back. It was all larger fused pieces (including a 6' by 4' glass quilt) & if you want, you can take a look at some pictures here.

There is also a very nice article on my beads at Beading Times

Hmmm...what else can I tell you, that won't get me in trouble?

Wellllll, I really like Green Day.

& I like this quote-

'Experience has shown how deeply the seeds of war are planted by economic rivalry and social injustice' Harry S. Truman

I am a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers, & the Pacific Pyros.

Okay, okay. Since you're here, I do have the obligatory 'cat being cute' picture to share.

Her name is Fluffy. She likes to file. (When she's not out murdering some poor little mouse, or worse yet, a bird.)

The following  is my favorite quote of  the year-

"The young do not know enough to be prudent, therefore they attempt the impossible & achieve it, year after year" -Pearl S Buck

Oh,  I know what I can tell you! Why do I work with glass? Here is my Artist Statement.

Now go look at my beads. They're nice.

Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me;
Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me... what a long, strange trip it's been.

'Truckin' - Grateful Dead
